The Department for Infrastructure has not included changing the default urban speed limit to 20mph in a list of options for increasing 20mph coverage in Northern Ireland, despite acknowledging the achievements of the reduced default limit in Wales.
The DfI is also consulting on reducing the national speed limit on rural dual carriageways from 70mph to 60mph.
