Illegal workers and suspect businesses in sectors such as hand car washes face crackdown to be announced in the Budget.
The first phase will be directed towards the 5,000 hand car washes across England and Wales.
The UK government initiative was announced by Prime Minister Keir Starmer to reporters on his flight returning from the G20 Summit. The Prime Minister said: “It is too easy to work illegally in the UK, so the plan is all about dealing with the pull factors.”
