London is broadly on track to deliver the forecast 40,000 to 60,000 electric vehicle charging points required by 2030, according to TfL’s Travel in London 2025 Annual overview. On 31 October 2025, there were 27,095 public electric vehicle  charging points in the capital (both rapid and slow-to-fast). This is around one-third of all public charging points in the UK, which is a 435% increase in charging infrastructure since April 2020, said TfL.
