New EV mileage charge begins Treasury switch in road user charging

Amongst a range of transport implications from the 2025 Autumn Budget will be new a pay-per-mile charge for electric vehicles to be introduced from 2028. This will help offset declining fuel duty revenues, though plug-in van and truck grants remain to promote EV take-up for businesses.
