New Development Corporation to control Euston area and drive HS2 completion

Management of development of the land around Euston Station expected to support funding for the completion of HS2 is to be handed over to a new development corporation.

Camden council has agreed to set up a locally led urban development corporation (LLDC), which, subject to legislation permitting, will be able to assume a wide range of powers to drive redevelopment of the area.

The plans in turn will embrace government intentions for the HS2 related schemes.
