There has been a 43% increase in cycling journeys in the capital since 2019, according to new data released by Transport for London (TfL).
In 2025 the number of daily cycle journeys increased to an estimated 1.5 million journeys per day, up by 12.7% from 1.33 million in 2024, the data shows. The growth was strongest in inner London, with a 14.8% increase between 2024 and 2025 (from 650,000 to 747,000 cycle journey stages).
