Welsh highway authorities are likely to receive powers to install side road zebra crossings on 20mph roads in March, following positive results from trials in Cardiff, Manchester and Westminster.
A four-week stakeholder consultation by the Welsh Government closes on 15 December. Further work with stakeholders will be undertaken to draft guidance to support highway authorities in deciding when and where to use these side road zebra crossings.
