 
				
				
			
			Chris Mullin, author, journalist and former Transport Minister will be the after-dinner speaker at this year’s Local Transport Summit taking place in Derby on 18/19 November.
A high profile MP and minister in John Prescott’s Department of Transport in the last Labour government, Chris Mullin wrote his acclaimed political diaries of the Blair years entitled A view from the Foothills, and political novel A Very British Coup, later dramatised on TV. He will introduce his latest published reflections Didn’t you use to be Chris Mullin? and share insights from a lifetime in politics and public life, including working on transport in Government.
Places have filled fast for the Summit. Other speakers will include Mayor Claire Ward of East Midlands Combined County Authority (our hosts); and Conrad Bailey, Director General Public Transport and Local Group, Department for Transport.
