The new Beaulieu Park rail station near Chelmsford in Essex has opened to passengers ahead of schedule, after a government backed investment. It is the first new station on the Great Eastern Mainline in more than 100 years.
The development is said will support 2,500 new jobs, connect hundreds of thousands of people across the East and deliver thousands of new homes .It is claimed it will generate a £250m economic boost for the region.
