The Bus Service (Wales) Bill that will re-regulate bus provision has cleared Stage 1 in the Senedd, although concerns were voiced over delegation of powers to future ministers.

The legislation will place a duty on Welsh ministers to improve bus services, determine which services are needed and procure them through contracts, permits or direct operation.
