Scotland has not moved the needle on reducing car miles despite having set an ambitious target, according to an officer of the UK’s advisory Climate Change Committee  (CCC).

The Scottish Government’s Climate Change Plan update in 2020 included a commitment to reduce car mileage by 20% by 2030, against a 2019 baseline. The target was abandoned  this year.
