Salkeld takes charge of Leicester's Active travel Networks

Andy Salkeld is starting a new position as Transport Service Manager - Active Travel Networks at Leicester City Council. He has worked at Leicester City Council for 28 years in a range of roles, most recently as Active Travel Team Leader for four years and Cycling Co-ordinator for 17 years.

Salkeld represents Leicester City Council on all aspects of cycling policy, strategy, infrastructure, training, promotions & engagement with the Cycle City Action Plan and Annual Bicycle Accounts. 

He has played an instrumental role in a host of conferences including last year's Active City Leicester, which was hosted by the city council, sponsored by Active Travel England and organised by Landor LINKS.
