Congestion Charge set to rise from £15 to £18 next year

London’s Congestion Charge is set to rise from £15 to £18 a day from January 2026 while anyone applying for the residents’ discount from March 2027 will have to own an electric vehicle. This will be the first increase to the daily charge since 2020.

Analysis shows that without these changes there will be more than 2,200 additional vehicles in the c-charge zone on an average weekday, said Transport for London (TfL).
