Bristol gears up to enforce moving traffic contraventions in hotspot areas

Traffic cameras will be used in Bristol from 17 March

 

Bristol City Council will start enforcing traffic regulations on four problem locations in Bristol from 17 March.

This follows on from being granted moving traffic enforcement powers across the whole of the city in July 2023 by the government under Part 6 of the Traffic Management Act 2004.

The police will retain its powers to enforce traffic regulations, but the council will support this work in certain locations where restrictions are repeatedly ignored.
