International Parking Community defends private sector appeals service

Trade association reaches out to critics at AA and RAC

Motoring organisations that criticise the regulation of the private parking sector are mistaken, says the International Parking Community.

The trade body has refuted claims that its appeals processes are unfair and has invited organisations such as the AA and RAC to enter into a constructive dialogue.

The IPC says that motorists who challenge parking charges issued on private land can and do succeed. The parking association refers to figures from its Independent Appeals Service that show:
