Forest of Dean expands free hour's parking scheme

Forest of Dean District Council is rolling out a parkig scheme which offers the first hour for free. 

The Gloucestershire council abolished the first hour charge for its car parks last year as part of a bid to attract more visitors. 

A cabinet meeting on 15 May voted to bring Pyart Court car park in Coleford into the scheme to ensure continuity across its area. The council bought the Pyart Court business units and car park in Coleford in December 2022.
