Skates urges Welsh local authorities to promote active travel

Welsh Transport Secretary Ken Skates has urged local authorities to be more proactive in promoting active travel routes, after criticism that investment of over £200m in new and improved routes has produced no discernible increase in participation rates.

Separately, his predecessor Lee Waters has told a Senedd committee that there is too little revenue funding available for significant behaviour change programmes on active travel.
