The Lyminster Bypass, part of which sits on a floodplain, is now open to traffic six months after its completion was held up due to a number of “unavoidable events”. In November West Sussex County Council reported that “wet weather” had “delayed activities”.

The 1.8km bypass was constructed in two phases, north and south. The southern section was funded and completed by the developer of the new Hampton Park housing development.
