Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander has visited the site where work is underway to extend the West Midlands Metro tram network. The phase two £295m project, which will connect Flood Street in Dudley town centre with Merry Hill Shopping Centre, will see construction along Duncan Edwards Way and the Merry Hill area.
The £261m first section, between Wednesbury and Dudley town centre, is due to open to passengers later this year.
