Manchester network now fully franchised - with six more set to follow

All of Greater Manchester’s bus services have now come under local public control following the 5th January completion of the combined authority’s three-phase implementation of a franchising system. It is the first area outside London to have a publicly- determined bus network for the 40 years since deregulation.
