Bristol to trial fixed ANPR cameras outside schools

Bristol City Council has approved plans to trial the use of fixed ANPR cameras to enforce School Keep Clear restrictions.

Although the council currently uses a camera car to patrol schools, it believes there is “potential to deploy fixed cameras on a rotational basis to target particularly problematic areas”. The council will initially deploy four cameras before assessing whether it can fund more cameras.
