A new operator will run the Elizabeth Line from next May, Transport for London (TfL) has announced. GTS Rail Operations Limited, the company behind Tokyo’s metro system, beat three other shortlisted bidders, including the incumbent MTR Corporation, to win the contract.
The other bidders were Arriva UK Trains and First Keolis Elizabeth line (a joint venture between First Group PLC and Keolis SA).
