Spending by coach passengers is worth £8.3bn to local economies each year, reveals research carried out for the Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT).
Domestic tourist coach passengers spend £5.4bn per year at tourist destinations in the UK, while international tourists spend £610m, says the research by consultancy KPMG. In addition, those using coaches to travel to local shopping and leisure facilities spend £2.3bn.
