Cheltenham car park to make way for housing

Planning permission has been granted to build nearly 150 homes a town centre car park in Cheltenham.

Wavensmere Homes and BBS Capital intend to create 147-home estate, comprising houses and apartment blocks, on the North Place surface car park.

Cheltenham Borough Council's planning committee unanimously approved the £55m development on Thursday, despite objections from a conservation society.
