Scottish Government forges ahead with A9 £3.7bn dualling as cuts bite elsewhere

The financially squeezed Scottish Government has restated its commitment to the full A9 dualling, and awarded a contract for the next phase, despite a higher than expected tender price. Meanwhile its Bus Partnership Fund is suspended because of a shortage of transport capital funding and the peak fares cut on Scottish rail services is ending.
