Fake QR code scam warning at Dorset beach car parks

A warning has been issued about fake QR codes appearing parking ticket machines after stickers were found in beach resort car parks in Dorset.

When scanned the codes go to a fraudulent website.

The fake QR codes were placed on pay & display meters in Sandbanks, Branksome Dene, Branksome Chine, Highcliffe and Bournemouth Town Centre car parks.

Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council has been been peeling off numerous machines in recent days.
