Plans for a new railway line in Northumberland could be extended to more towns than previously announced, according a council cabinet member involved in the project.
Richard Wearmouth, Deputy Leader of Northumberland County Council, said the Northumberland Line, which is set to open this summer, could also reach Newbiggin and other stations.
