A legal challenge by campaigners against the DfT’s decision to cut more than £200m from its active travel budget has been dismissed by a High Court judge.
Transport Action Network (TAN) is now considering applying for an appeal, arguing that last year’s cuts of around 65% were unlawful and “outside the framework provided” by the Cycling and Walking Investment Strategy (CWIS) made under the 2015 Infrastructure Act.
