Government confirms funding for TfL to buy ten new Elizabeth Line trains

The Government has confirmed funding for Transport for London to procure 10 new Elizabeth Line trains to be built in the UK by Alstom in Derby.

The new trains will allow TfL to increase capacity on the increasingly busy network in the coming years, and also bring security to the train manufacturer’s prospects which had brought fears for the future of its facility and employees.
