Trades people call for action over tool theft and resale

Trades people are calling for tougher enforcement of the law to prevent the theft and resale of stolen tools.

The group Trades United claims in the past six years more than 44,500 incidents of tool theft from vans have been reported across the UK, but accuses the government of failing to take action.

Over 300 trades vehicles from across the UK which took part in a Trades United demonstration in Parliament Square on 3 June.
