An outline masterplan to transform 30 acres of brownfield land at Bow Goods Yard, east London, into a rail freight logistics hub has been drawn up by Network Rail Property.
This is first independent planning submission from Network Rail’s commercial division. It aims to take up to 90,000 HGV movements a year from London’s roads, reducing congestion and emissions. Proposals also include the introduction of an integrated last mile logistics hub.
