Paul Lawrence has been recommended for appointment as the new Chief Executive of the City of Edinburgh Council. After a competitive selection process, overseen by a cross-party panel of senior councillors, a final decision will be made at a full council meeting on 9 May. If the panel’s recommendation is approved, Lawrence is expected to start as Chief Executive on 17 June.
