Croydon proposes new Healthy School Streets

Croydon Council is consulting residents on a proposal to introduce six new Healthy School Streets to improve road safety around schools and encourage pupils to walk, cycle and scoot more often.

The council has been introducing experimental Healthy School Streets since 2017. The schemes limit motor traffic on surrounding roads to schools during school drop-off and pick-up times making roads safer for children and families.
