The Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) resolved to move forward with proposals for local bus franchising at its board meeting last week.

The body which is responsible for transport in Glasgow and across much of western Scotland sees the move as part of its plans to address the area’s short-term and long-term transport issues.
