External affairs role for Twocock at Sustrans

Sustrans has appointed Paul Twocock as Executive Director of External Affairs. He joins from his current role as Director of Communications and Public Affairs at the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services.

He will oversee the direction of the charity in highlighting the impact of the National Cycle Network.

Twocock will highlight the impact of the National Cycle Network and oversee projects, research and events that Sustrans delivers throughout the year, including the Walking and Cycling Index.

The role will also guide the charity’s relationships with decision-makers in local and national government, as well as organisations in the active travel and place-making sector.

This follows the appointment of Matt Winfield to the new role of Chief Operating Officer last year.
