Services on Greater Manchester’s Metrolink have been extended and are now running more frequently in response to rising passenger demand. Patronage on the Altrincham and Bury lines has returned to pre-pandemic levels, said Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM). 

Demand elsewhere on the tram network also reached pre-Covid levels in the run-up to Christmas, it added.
