Just one in five of women feel safe cycling at night alone, according to a new report by micromobility operator Lime.
The study says that women in the UK cycle almost half as often as men per month, with 91% of female cyclists facing barriers to cycling. These barriers create a negative cycle for some women, with 27% saying they lack the experience to provide confidence to ride, researchers found.
