Phil Hewitt has been appointed new Chair of Midland Metro Limited (MML), the operator of the West Midlands’ network. He will move from his current role as an executive consultant at WSP. He has more than 30 years’ experience in senior roles across the sector, having previously served as Metro director at Transport for West Midlands (TfWM). Hewitt is former Chair of the tramway sector’s representative organisation, UKTram, and of the Light Rail Safety and Standards Board.
