Older people reap the benefits of being outdoors more in their neighbourhoods, with better pavements, green space and good public transport key enablers to staying active, says a new report for Sustrans.
The active travel charity said measures that quieter streets and slow traffic, such as one-way streets, also encourage older people to go outdoors.
