Scottish transport minister Fiona Hyslop has promised that the Fair Fares Review will be published by the end of the year. Scotland has already taken some radical steps on fares since the pandemic, and the outcome of the review is likely to inform thinking in the rest of the UK on appropriate transport pricing for the post-Covid era.
