Wales set to get more liveable streets under 20mph default

The 20mph default limit introduced across Wales in September unlocks the door for interventions to make streets more “liveable”, consultant Phil Jones has told a Senedd committee.

Jones is chair of the 20mph Taskforce Group for Wales and has been helping local authorities to fine-tune their application of the exceptions process, by which they designate specific roads where the previous 30mph speed limit applies.
