More details of what the Network North announcement following the cancellation of the northern sections of HS2 means for local transport were provided at the Local Transport Summit by Clara Davies, Head of Local Infrastructure Policy Team at the Department for Transport.

She addressed in particular, the £4.7bn that was announced for the new local integrated transport settlements in the North and Midlands outside the city regions.
