A new travel app is encouraging more parents to use journey sharing and active travel for the school run in St Albans. The HomeRun app has been launched at five schools, with more than 1,000 parents now using the app.
A Hertfordshire County Council spokesperson told LTT that the app has resulted in a 4.1% increase in active travel; an 8% increase in journey sharing; and a 4.6% reduction in car usage.
