An electric bike hire service is to be launched in Leeds in September, operated by Beryl for the city council.
The scheme, called Leeds City Bikes, is being funded by Leeds City Council’s Carbon Mitigation fund, which is embedded in the Transforming Cities Fund as part of the West Yorkshire Mayoral devolution deal.
Phase one of the bike hire scheme will include the city centre and key travel routes where demand is likely to be highest, with around 300 e-bikes available...
