A free bus service in Leicester is attracting an average of 1,000 passenger journeys each day, the city council has reported.
The Hop! Bus service was launched in April 2023 in the city centre as an 18-month trial. The cost of the trial, estimated by the council to be around £1m, is covered by the DfT’s Transforming Cities Fund.
