Wales commits to retaining station ticket offices but Scotland still reviewing position

The availability of station ticket offices could become another distinguishing feature of the devolved Welsh and Scottish rail operations if DfT English operators implement the closures proposed consultations. The distinction will not heed geographical borders, however as some English stations on the Welsh borders will retain ticket offices, and Avanti West Coast proposes to close its ticket office at Glasgow Central.
