The average number of new chargers installed per month in 2023 to date has increased by 75% compared to the same period in 2022. More than 2000 new chargers were installed in both March and April taking the total past 42,000.
New statistics from Zapmap, an EV charging mapping service, show 2080 new chargepoints were switched on in April 2023, and over 6,400 so far in 2023. This is an increase of 14% in net new chargers since the beginning of 2023 and 35% since this time last year.
