The Government has published its response to submissions received on its policy framework to implement the concept of biodiversity net gain (BNG). It has also published guidance on various aspects of the proposed regime.

New housing, commercial and infrastructure developments - including roads and railways - are expected to be “nature positive” under the new regime the government says. It will apply from November this year, with the plans backed by £16m of funding for Local...
