National Highways has published a ‘social values’ plan which includes pledges to boost apprenticeships, create a more diverse workforce, support local economies, enhance the natural environment, respect neighbouring communities and promote active travel.
Among the pledges, National Highways wants at least 5% of its workforce enrolled on formal apprenticeships or graduate development schemes within five years.
