Cherwell District Council will use contingency funds to cover a fall in car park revenues.The Oxfordshire local authority has stated that it will use savings in other areas to fill a £458,000 gap between budgeted and currently projected parking revenues.
A monthly performance, risk and finance report covering up to the end of August notes that parking charges were increased by 25% last year but that the increase in income is limited to between 16 and 18%.
